Fatima Goldman, Executive Director

Fatima Goldman photo Appointed CEO in March 2003, Fatima Goldman serves as the Federation of Protestant Welfare Agencies’ chief spokesperson on behalf of New York City’s most vulnerable.

Ms. Goldman’s career includes a number of notable management positions in the social services sector. She has served as the Executive Director of Brookwood Child Care, the first early childhood services division director for Graham Windham Services for Children and Families and as the Director of Family Day Care for the City’s Human Resources Administration.

In 2005, she was appointed by the Commissioner of the Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) as co-chair of the taskforce on minority governed, community-based child welfare agencies. She also currently serves on the Commissioner’s Taskforce on Aging of the NYC Department for the Aging, and most recently was appointed to the NY Connects State Long Term Care Advisory Council.

She also served on Mayor Bloomberg’s Commission for Economic Opportunity which undertook a comprehensive examination of poverty in NYC. The commission’s recommendations led to the establishment of the Center for Economic Opportunity in December 2006.

Ms. Goldman has an M.S. in Supervision and Administration from the Bank Street College of Education and a B.A. in Biological Sciences/Elementary Education from Lehman College (CUNY).
