FPWA is forming a council of leaders from the faith-based, non-profit, corporate, civic, educational and philanthropic sectors of New York City to work together to seek the true welfare of our city. Named after the prophet Jeremiah, who spoke to the leaders of his time who were in exile from the city they dreamed of, this group will help inform the decision making of FPWA's faith based services as we collaborate with others to improve the lives of New York’s neediest residents. Vision, collaboration and integration will be the council's principle tools of operation.

The membership of the Jeremiah Council is in formation and will be announced soon. Following a set of initial meetings, its direction and priorities will be posted along with opportunities for those interested in working together for the overall welfare of New York City and its residents. Our goal is to come together and find ways of making our collective dream for a livable city a reality.
