“In our current day of heightened oversight and increased accountability the role of board governance is critical to achieving compliance. The FPWA Governance Project prepares candidates to assume the responsibility bestowed on an active board member. This preparation allows for confidence in leadership, awareness of mission, team building around the vision of an organization and understanding of fiduciary responsibilities.” - Chris Quinones, member agency Board Member and Governance Project graduate“The FPWA referrals were top notch candidates and bring great experience and expertise to our Board.” - Nancy Harvey, Executive Director, Service Program for Older People
The Governance Project The Governance Project recruits, trains and refers qualified professionals to serve on FPWA member agency, non-profit boards. Recruitment is focused on increasing participation of professionals of diverse races, ethnicities, ages, genders, sexual orientation and skill sets. This focus reflects our belief that boards are best served by becoming more reflective of the rich diversity that exists within our community.
