Photo: Volunteers from XL Capital Investment Partners spruced up Hartley House on May 27th.

On May 27th, FPWA organized a service project for XL Capital Investment Partners at Hartley House, an FPWA member agency. 22 volunteers painted several rooms at the settlement house, which was founded in 1897. Jill Bell, the XL team leader wrote, "Once again you provided us with a wonderful project...everything went off without a hitch, there was more than enough work to do and the team had an all around great time...You'll definitely be hearing from us again next year." Nicole L. Cicogna, Hartley House's Executive Director, added, "Volunteers are the unsung heroes of the non-profit world; and that day XL Capital Investments proved they were an army of heroes."
