Corporate Service Days
One of the great benefits of FPWA membership is access to our Corporate Service Day Program. This program matches corporate groups with member agencies to perform much needed work. An added benefit is the possibility of long term relationships with major corporations, as well as introductions to potential board candidates. Some examples of 2011 service days are: - May 10 – Grey, United Community Centers 17 volunteers painted 2 rooms at community center, valued at $1,847.56 plus $420 in expenses.
- May 11 – Indiana Choral Connection, 45 volunteers from Lincoln Square Neighborhood Center performed for seniors, valued at $1,222.65.
- May 16 – XL Capital Investors , 22 volunteers from Barrier Free Living painted hallways and rooms, valued at $3,260.40 plus $498 in expenses.
- May 19 – Moody’s, 12 volunteers from Holy Trinity Neighborhood Center painted shelter, afterschool room, valued at $1,304.16 plus $294.95 in expenses.
- May 26 – Moody’s, 12 volunteers from AIDS Service Center NYC painted several rooms and hallway, valued at $978.12 plus $288.52 in expenses.
- June 6 – Brooklyn Cyclones , 12 volunteers from YWCA Roberta Bright Early Learning Center painted 2 Rooms, valued at $815.10 plus $203.84 in expenses.
- June 10 – Deloitte , 8 volunteers from Henry Street Settlement planted garden at senior center, valued at $869.44 plus $950 in expenses.
Upcoming:
- October 4 – Volunteers from Moody’s, will paint the board room and reception areas at the Day Care Council of NYC.
- November 3 – Volunteers from Moody’s will complete a painting project at AIDS Service Center NYC.
