No one wants to be the expert in workers’ compensation (WC), we never want anyone hurt on the job, but… it happens and we are often scrambling to remember how to put in a claim to WC. We will review questions like: what forms do we fill out?; what do we need to have in an accident report?; are there safety actions that we have to follow through on?; do we have to find a light duty option?…etc.

There is an alphabet soup of leave related laws, but the real challenge is how they are relate to each other. What is the difference between leave benefits vs paid benefit and how do they effect each other? Can I make an employee take sick or vacation leave as part of their leave? How does ADA, FMLA, STD work together? How does pay benefits like STD, WC and LTD factor into the equation and how can you integrate sick and vacation leave? This seminar will review the leave laws and address how to navigate various leaves from a legal point of view.
