FPWA’s Courageous Conversations Leadership Development Series supports community and faith leaders in deepening their understanding of trauma-informed care, incorporating and modeling trauma-responsive practices into their service delivery model, and working more holistically to create healthy and sustainable communities.

Leadership Development Track Sessions:

  • Women of Color: At Work & in the World

Delve into the narratives that have been constructed for and by women of color and poses the question, How do we free ourselves from the manifestations of poverty and trauma to write new narratives that point to possibility at work and in the world?

  • Faith Leaders Series: Healing the Healers

Explore the intersections of poverty and trauma in the faith community and the reciprocal impacts on faith leaders, congregants, and communities.

  • Nonprofit  Staff: Nonprofit Resiliency

Examine ways in which nonprofits are inherently responsive to needs but also ways in which we can, organizationally, better serve staff and communities regarding trauma and poverty.
