A father's unwavering love for his special-needs son resulted in the two living in a homeless shelter. However, it was a call to social services that ended up being the turning point the two needed to get back on their feet. FPWA, through the New York Times Neediest Cases, was able to provide a grant for furniture to Tyree Scott and his son, Zahir.

The FPWA Federal Funds Tracker launched last night to an enthusiastic crowd who experienced the innovative tool’s public debut live. Developed to demystify the federal budget and its impact on New York City human services, the Tracker puts the power of information into the hands of advocates, policymakers, and citizens.
