For the second installment of the FPWA Speaker Series, sponsored by American Express, we convened a panel of New York City leaders in the arts and entertainment industries. The panel explored how these communities can engage further with the NYC nonprofit and philanthropy sectors. The panel featured Martha Diaz, Founding Director of the Hip-Hop Education Center; Cynthia López, Commissioner of the New York City Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment; and Tamir Muhammad, Director of Content and Artist Development, Time Warner, Inc. Edwin Torres, Deputy Commissioner of New York City’s Department of Cultural Affairs moderated the evening’s panel.
